"Amazing all throughout my pregnancy"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

Called up ward 3 at Dr Grays due to feeling like my baby wasn’t moving as much (just over 39 weeks pregnant). The ladies in the day assessment unit couldn’t have been lovelier. Took me in, did a trace, got a scan. Really put my mind at ease. I’m a very easily worried person.

Went back in the next day for monitoring on the advice of the consultant and ended up having my baby later that night in Aberdeen. Had it not been for the ladies in Elgin, I may have not realised I was in proper labour, as my first I had had contraction pains for days. I made it to Aberdeen and was 8cm dilated on arrival. I only chose to give birth in Aberdeen due to the fear of requiring intervention as my first birth ended in forceps delivery. But Elgin were amazing all throughout my pregnancy. They never made me feel like an annoyance for calling for reassurance. Thank you very much.
