"Nurse made me feel very comfortable with my pain"

About: Victoria Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I was admitted to hospital on many occasions with acute/ chronic pancreatitis. The pain is out of this world and it makes you dehydrated and feel extremely deluded. It gets to a point where I can control the pain myself and have to be admitted to hospital to be under their watchful care.

After having a splenectomy on 22/2/2022 it created a blood clot in 2023 which was causing me pain and having to be on blood tablets. So having a low immune system made it harder to deal with pain and problems.

During my ordeals in ward 52 on level 5 in hospital I was looked after by nurse Megan who made me feel very comfortable with my pain with pain relief, not only did I have to ring my buzzer if I needed help she also would pop past without me having to buzz and ask if everything is ok and if I needed anything which made me feel safe and ensured. Megan is very good at her job and ensured all of her patients under her professional supervision were at ease and comfortable.
