About: The Ulster Hospital / Gastro Hub

(as a service user),

I was admitted to the Ulster Hospital in October 2023 and  placed under the care of Dr Doyle.

This review pays tribute to Dr Doyle's Secretary, Alison. Apologies I only know her first name.

I have since November phoned to speak to Alison re my ongoing treatment. On each occasion Alison has been extremely professional, outstandingly helpful, patient and caring.

She has a wonderful telephone manner, which instils total confidence in the caller.

If Alison says she will check and phone you back later that day she always does.

In my opinion Alison sets the standard for the position she is in.

She does an amazing job in what I imagine is an extremely busy and challenging post.

I wish to record my sincere thanks and appreciation for all her help in recent months.

It is great to learn that you have been looked after so well by this excellent team.

As you have highlighted, it is so important that our care journeys enjoy both professionalism and compassion where patients and families are listened to and given confidence when doubt or worry may be present.
