"Calming, empathetic, patient and reassuring"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Maternity care (Wards 47, 48 & 50)

(as a service user),

After I received some unexpected results via a private scan I was asked to make an urgent appointment with my own NHS team.

I contacted my Consultant Dr Richmond's Secretary (Cheryl) who was very kind and understanding, and aware of my heightened anxiety, dealt with things quickly.

When I got to the department I was seen by a variety of professionals who were all very patient, explained things in a  clear way and went out of their way to re-assure me where possible and ensure I had all the available information required. The Midwife Christine was just fantastic, she was very calming, empathetic, patient and reassuring.
