My husband had his hip replaced at NHS Fife National Treatment Centre Kirkcaldy. From Admission to Discharge I witnessed safe, effective, compassionate person-centred care.  It was very evident that the Orthopaedic Unit works as a team in which every person -cleaners, nurses, physios, OTs, aneasthetists, pharmacists and surgeons - played their part. I have taught aspects of person-centred care for years (for NHS Education for Scotland) but what I witnessed last week modelled it in practice. Top marks and deep gratitude to you all.

As a Senior Charge Nurse, it is very reassuring to hear that the processes that we have in place from admission to discharge are working well, likewise the team work from all departments played a pivotal role in your husband (and yourself) having a positive experience.
