"Kind, friendly, compassionate, patient, great communicators"

(as the patient),

I had an ambulance journey to the PRI recently.

A 11 night stay ensued for monitoring and testing then diagnoses. Some in PRI, some at Ninewells then back to PRI.

I met a lot of staff during that time in a lot of departments and in a number of wards.  Some of the wards had some challenging patients either through illness and age, or  through substance abuse.

I can say hand on heart,  every single member of staff who I met and who I saw dealing with others were truly outstanding.   Kind, friendly, compassionate, patient, great communicators....the whole package.

There are too many to mention despite me taking notes.

Rab the 1st Responder.  Gary and Scott in the ambulance from Perth.

Rebecca, Gill,  Kevin from CCU in PRI Ward 5.

Dr Kieran, Ruth, Ann and Dr McCormack in Ward 5.

Mark, Karen and Richard in Ward 5.

Dr Robertson and Dr Gorecka.

İ was later moved to Ward 3 in PRI.

Lauren, Emma and Sandra were brilliant in a very challenging ward.

Also Dr Elder.

I was then moved to Ninewells Ward 1.

Ryan and Ailsa were brilliant.

I did see other nurses and consultants we were all excellent.  Sorry, just too many names.

I was concerned about the Angiogram due to stats on likelihood of complications, but the team were amazing and made it as stress free as possible.

Lucy and Annette the Ambulance crew from Edinburgh took me back to PRI.  They were excellent too.

I had a brief visit to Ward 4 at PRI before being moved to Ward 6.

I met Dr Currie a couple of times.  All of the consultants have been exemplary.  Dr Currie suggested an additional couple of tests which in hindsight were wise.

The nurses in Ward 6 were fantastic too.   Minu, Chrissie, Banke.

Also the Exercise Stress test and Echo Cardiogram team were all excellent.

The food was good and plentiful which for an 11 night stay was pretty impressive.

I honestly can't give enough praise to everyone involved in providing this amazing service.  Kitchens, pharmacists, porters etc etc etc.

Thanks again to Dr Gortchka and Dr David for their care and discharge.
