Hi there, I do believe that we probably do more complaining than actually praising but sometimes it's beyond words when u get a person who goes above and beyond. I am in my mid 60's and have numerous health issues.
I was admitted to hospital recently, and I have been in and out hospital many many times over the last few years, and I admire the nurses and drs who always do their best. Well that was until my last admission. It was the worst experience of my life. I have never ever been treated like that.
This is why, when I was still poorly after getting discharged that when my GP suggested I should be back in hospital, I begged NOT to be sent back there again.
My GP has been above and beyond for me. I have never ever had such a caring , gentle, wonderfully understanding GP in all of my years. There is nothing that she can do to help. She listened to every word and in the time I was at home and not in hospital, she called me every single day sometimes. She called me from her own home on weekends to check how I was that day etc and she has had me in tears... tears of complete emotion as I have never been treated so kindly in all my life.
Reading this back it doesn't really say just exactly all the things she has done for me and I'm not describing her kindness very well but please please believe me when i say there are probably no words that really describe her fully. She is a treasure and i dont think for one second i would still be here if it wasn't for Dr Stanleys constant care.
I simply want to thank her some way and i thought i would try speak to someone who is going to go to Dr Stanley and pat her on the back for putting the GGHC out there in a good light as i know the doctors surgeries are getting bad press etc just now as there is a lot of unhappy folk out there who are very very unhappy with the state of the NHS, but my GP is a shining light in all of the darkness that surrounds us in this day and age.
Thanks for reading my ramblings
