About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

111 sent my baby to A&E after he was unwell at home.

We were quickly triaged and given somewhere quiet to wait where we were quickly seen by Dr Olivia. She took a detailed history and examined my son. She calmly explained what she thought the diagnosis might be and that he would need to be seen by the more senior consultant. Dr Keith then came in and confirmed Dr Olivia's diagnosis. They both took time to explain the next steps and made all the referrals needed. Dr Olivia popped in regularly with updates and to check if we needed anything. I knew exactly what was happening. 

Thank you for taking such excellent care of my son. Dr Olivia has such a caring nature. What a credit to the department.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. I'm sorry to learn you required to contact 111 when your son was unwell. I am glad to hear that you received a prompt review from the Drs at the A&E Department. I hope he is recovering well.
