"A positive experience full of exception care"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I was recently in day surgery to get my gallbladder removed. From the moment I stepped in the door I was made to feel at ease and was very well looked after.

Fiona my staff nurse was amazing and attentive. She explained everything very well and made sure I was comfortable post op.

Dorothy in reception made sure I was at ease and ensured I stayed nice and warm with an amazing warm blanket.

All the staff in theatre were amazing and a few laughs were had before I drifted off.

A massive thanks to Professor Ali for taking time to explain everything and performing the surgery.

A positive experience full of exception care during tough times in the NHS. Thank you all.

Thank you for sharing this with us. It is always lovely to hear positive feedback and makes staff so happy to know they have made such a worrying journey a positive one. I am so glad you felt you were well looked after in all areas of your journey and wish you a speedy recovery.

Kind Regards

Shirley
