"A real centre of excellence"

About: Castle Hill Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

I have had recurrent bouts of kidney stones and the subsequent pain of renal colic over the last 40 years. The Consultant Surgeons and the whole team, clinical, administrative, catering, cleaning and maintenance have helped me more than words can say.

I hear the stories that criticise the medical profession, but ignorance is always forgiven in my book. Yes there are NHS mistakes, and then there is the brutal greed of some criminally minded members of the public who are looking for the easy money of the negligence claim.

Of course, even in a no blame culture, there must be consequences in law for the resolution of mistake so that learning can be achieved and the bedevillment of resentment turned to realisation and of possible a token of reparation within the repairal of all of our basic terminals of birth and death, in breath and out breath, for Life has no opposite.

Ward 15 is simply a really, real centre of excellence in my actual experience, my gratitude is boundless and fearless, but only with less fear because of how they have helped me, today and before.
