"Mental health care - I cannot thank the Doctors and Nurses enough"

About: Murray Royal Hospital / Electro Convulsive Therapy Service (ECT) Murray Royal Hospital / Functional assessment Ward (Leven Ward)

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with psychotic depression in 2023 and received outstanding care and attention within this ward including 8 treatments with ECT which was a positive treatment for my particular illness. I cannot thank the Doctors and Nurses enough for their care and attention and pulling me back from being a very sick patient to a very happy individual. Although I cannot remember the ECT treatment as it happened, I do remember the tea and toast I received after every treatment. Many thanks to all the Staff for my care.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience whilst in Leven Ward. It's lovely to receive this feedback and heart warming to read that you have had a positive recovery and now a very happy individual. We are so glad you felt the care and attention received whilst in Leven ward was outstanding. I will share this positive feedback with the Team in Leven Ward whom I know all will be very appreciative of this.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am so glad we were able to play a part in your recovery. ECT can be a life saver and when treatment is such a success in a relatively short space of time, it gives the whole ECT Team a huge sense of achievement and reinforces, our already strong belief, that what we do makes a difference.

Wishing you all the very best for the future.
