(as a relative),

Hospital at Home is an Amazing service in our community.

Efficient, professional and just very kind people.

My mum has fluid gathering in her legs, and the Hospital at Home team were able to carry out the same treatment at home that would have needed a hospital bed.

They carried out a comprehensive assessment and set up a treatment plan at home, just simply amazing what they bring to your home.

My mum was happy, not having to go through the long wait in ED.

The care she is getting is first class.

Thanks for your kind feedback.

The aim is to prevent admission to A&E. We all know the pressure A&E face on a daily basis and for an older person to have to wait for hours in the department for treatment can add to their current issues. It also has a massive impact on families.

The team deliver various treatments for various conditions and all patients receive a full comprehensive assessment on admission. A medic will complete the initial assessment and pull a plan in place. We deliver treatment in a virtual setting as it would be delivered in the ward setting in a hospital.

We as a team are very privileged to be able to treat patients in their own home and you and your family made us feel very welcome on each visit and to see your mum improve daily without needing to be in a hospital ward highlighted how worthy the team are.

I will pass on your feedback to all the staff and again thank you so much for making us all feel very welcome.
