I just wanted to send a thank you email to recognise your helpful friendly staff.

I am coming to the end of my breastfeeding journey but I don't think I'd have managed to feed my daughter for the last 12 months if it wasn't for the support I received from the Inverclyde Infant Feeding Team via the bumps to baby group. I attended before I had my baby and Pauline's knowledge was fantastic, her advice and guidance was so helpful and certainly helped me to feel prepared to start feeding when baby arrived.

After the arrival of baby I attended the group regularly on Tuesday mornings and whether I needed help/advice or just a chat and reassurance the staff (Morag and Geraldine) were fabulous.

I have made friends for life and cannot recommend the group enough for anyone pregnant and considering breastfeeding or anyone who still is within the Inverclyde area.

Dear Newmum51

My name is Catriona MacLean, Infant Feeding Coordinator for Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership.

Thank you for this lovely feedback. It is wonderful to hear how happy you have been with your breastfeeding journey and in particular how helpful you found the advice given for antenatal care from Pauline. It sounds like this helped you feel more prepared for when your baby arrived. It is also lovely to hear that you felt the friendliness and the guidance you got at the breastfeeding group from Geraldine and Morag helped reassure you that breastfeeding was going well. Thank you for recommending the group to anyone pregnant or breastfeeding in the area.

Any woman who would like to know more about breastfeeding or expressing in Inverclyde can contact our Infant feeding advisors on 07773086609. Alternately the antenatal workshop will be on the first Tuesday of the month at the Waterwheel 11am -12pm or please feel free to come along to the breastfeeding group which is also at the Waterwheel on every Tuesday 11am -12.30pm. Whether you are Breastfeeding, expressing or mixed feeding, all are welcome. Please contact Inverclyde.Breastfeeding@ggc.scot.nhs.uk by email if you would like more information.

My best wishes

Catriona
