"Paramedic spoke directly to Mum with compassion and care"

About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / First responder paramedic

(as a carer),

Mum had a fall at home and we needed help from Emergency Services.

A Paramedic called Colin arrived very promptly and did an amazing job. He re-assured Mum and the family of what he was going to do and was very informative during his assessments. He spoke directly to Mum with compassion and care.

While we didn't need an emergency ambulance he made sure we transported her safely to hospital where she received more excellent care.

We as family just wanted to acknowledge his professionalism and dedication to his job. Many thanks,

Good afternoon A contented daughter,

Thank you for taking the time to share your valued feedback. We are always grateful to those who share their experiences of the services they have received. It was reassuring to learn how informative Colin was to your mum and that he spoke with compassion and care directly to her. It means such a lot to our teams to hear that they have a made a difference to those they care for and I am sure Colin will be delighted to hear your lovely words.

I would like to share your feedback with the clinician who attended to you on the day and in order to locate them I would require the following information:

o Date and approximate time of the incident

o The address the ambulance was dispatched to

If you are happy to share this information, I can be contacted at: Maggie.hamilton@nias.hscni.net

I hope your mum is recovering well.

Kind regards,

Maggie
