I unfortunately found myself in the position of having severe toothache during the recent Christmas and New Year holidays. In an attempt to avoid having to visit an emergency dentist due to my own anxieties) I waited, longer than necessary and to my own discomfort, to have this attended to in the hopes of seeing my regular dentist who I have a great relationship and was comfortable with.
I can only begin to express my disappointment to find that despite this wait, my own dentist did not return from their (much deserved) break for another few days and the only options were to continue to wait to see my regular dentist or see the emergency dentist covering the practice. By this stage, my pain was so significant that I felt I had no choice but to bite the bullet and have this seen to.
I was seen on the same day, given treatment and antibiotics and a follow up plan was put in place for me to receive future treatment over the next few weeks once my infection had cleared.
Despite my reluctance and anxieties over going to a dental practice I was unfamiliar with, I cannot fault the treatment I received. The receptionist who greeted me was extremely polite and friendly, putting my initial fears at ease. I was then seen by a Dentist (Mr Sherrabeh) and Dental Nurse, who I can only say were absolutely fantastic. They communicated everything with me, reassured me throughout the entire process ensuring I was comfortable at all times, and explained everything to me really well to make sure I was completely informed and able to make a decision on how to proceed with my care.
I cannot thank them all enough for looking after me so well and being such amazing, reassuring and professional people who really are the heart and soul of the healthcare system.
"Amazing service and people"
