"CBT treatment - I am profoundly grateful"

About: Ealing Talking Therapies

(as a service user),

After 13 months of faithfully taking my medication and seeing a decrease in my panic attacks, I was referred to a therapist named Maria for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Maria's organized and compassionate approach made a world of difference in my treatment. She taught me valuable techniques for managing my symptoms and regaining control when they arose.

One of the most impactful methods Maria introduced me to was using a "ladder" in CBT, which gradually exposed me to social events and taught me beneficial breathing techniques. Thanks to her guidance, I was eventually able to go shopping by myself, a task that had previously felt overwhelming.

Although I still grapple with managing my negative thoughts from time to time, Maria instilled in me the awareness that these thoughts can be combatted. She taught me to recognize them for what they are and to actively replace them with positive thoughts.

I am profoundly grateful to Maria for her unwavering support and dedication. I sincerely wish her continued success in her profession and send my heartfelt wishes for her health and safety.
