I suffered a miscarriage between Christmas Day and Boxing Day. I was very early on in my pregnancy and naturally scared and upset by what was happening. Because it was a bank holiday I initially had to call ward 36. I spoke to a lovely nurse, who tried her best to put my mind at ease whilst showing compassion for the uncertain time I was going through. I was seen by the Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic the following day. From start to finish the service and care this team gave was outstanding. Every person I spoke to during this time was so kind and caring. This team has a beautiful and loving way about them, exactly what a person needs when going through a miscarriage. I was also not the easiest of patients to deal with when going through some of the tests. But they did such a good job at trying to settle me and support me through my blood test. The aftercare box sent from the ward, included beautiful keepsakes from the SiMBA charity and hand written notes from the EPAC team. These thoughtful touches helped me through some really though days. I just want to say a BIG thank you to the EPAC team. You are all truly wonderful and we are very lucky to have access to your team.
"A wonderful team who made a very sad time more bearable"
