my mum was in hospital for a month and was in many wards but she taken to ward 7b where she spent the final weeks, where she was treated with respect along with her partner who even got to have a Christmas dinner with my mum in the ward due to to much getting sent up to the ward this might not be much to most people but to me this has given me comfort knowing they both had one last Christmas dinner together sadly in late December. i was told my mum was dying and that it would be best to for the family to come see her the day shift staff where fantastic the support i got the respect me and my mum got was out of the world.
The only thing i thought was not very nice was when i buzzed for a night shift nurse to say i think my mum had died, she came in and was shocked like she didnt know that my mum was dying and then said she taken her last breaths i be back and closed the door. i was in that room myself for 15 minties before the nurse came back and conformed she had died i was then asked if i wanted a cup of tea and to go outside and they get my mum sorted for me to sit with her as long as I want, but i was to upset so left not long after that, but honesty the nurses on that ward are so caring and i cant thank them enough for the care of my mum
"my mum final days"
