Unheard, unprofessional, some rude receptionists! You have to fight for an appointment with some receptionists pretending they have some sort of qualification that enables them to determine if you’re eligible for an appointment over the phone. Then when you do see a doctor 90% of the time is a trainee, or someone you have never met or seen before …don’t ever expect to see the same doctor twice! This is one of the reasons why things are missed because there is that many different doctors and trainees coming through the surgery they can’t get to know or understand certain conditions or what’s normal or not normal for patients. It’s so important especially for people with chronic or long term conditions to be seen by a regular doctor! I had one trainee take a personal call in the consultation room! Blood work is over looked and things are missed. Results are not explained or followed up unless you actively seek it! You are made to feel stupid for even being seen! Your not listened to at all. The referrals are a joke because the correct or enough information is not getting sent and this then leads to the referrals being rejected and you not getting seen at all… again it’s getting sent without the gps or trainees looking at the history of the patient or listening to the patient correctly in the consultation room and the correct reasons why they need to be referred! The blood taking nurses and nurses in general are about the only good to come out of the surgery! I feel like they care more about training the most staff and promoting the cosmetics then that actual people that go with health concerns! Especially those with ongoing medical conditions, your looked at like a problem or everything is blamed on that condition rather then giving adequate advice doing the correct investigations or sending referrals to the right people! To say I’m fed up of fighting to be heard is a understatement! Looking for a new surgery is at the top of my list!
