"Excellent support from Magherafelt community midwives"

At the beginning of this pregnancy I met with a midwife called Elaine at my booking scan - as this was my third pregnancy and relatively quick after my two previous pregnancies I was nervous to be back in maternity however Elaine made me feel at ease straight away. During this pregnancy I came upon extremely hard and challenging times, the one person I found I could talk to was Elaine, she became a huge support for me throughout my pregnancy and was one person I knew I could rely on. I enjoyed and looked forward to each appointment as I knew I had somebody who would listen to me without judgement and provide me with whatever support was needed. 

I am so thankful to have had a midwife like Elaine during these hard times to remind of the beauty of pregnancy and what the end result would be. Although I am unsure if I will have any more children in the future, the one thing I will hope for is to have Elaine by my side again during the journey.

Each and every one of the community midwives in Magherafelt are amazing and have been throughout all of my three pregnancies, but I just wanted Elaine in particular to get the recognition she deserves as not only a fantastic midwife but also friend to any expectant mothers.
