"I was on a suicidal path, but support has helped"

About: Adult mental health / Primary Care (Walsall)

(as the patient),

I was going through so much in my life with just been married all of a sudden she doesn't like me to transition from mtf now.   Mental health was high not talking about courts stressing me and immigration haunting me depression and anxiety was just uncontrollable, it's never happened to me like that in my life.  At the this point the only reason I was holding on is because my gender dysphoria medication was still there but then all of a sudden the surgery decided to be a total plum and say we cant continue giving you hormones.

And at the same time transphobic attacks were all on me yes in Walsall town centre shocking right, even involved the police.  At this point I just had had enough of everything I felt nothing was working for me I felt let down by everyone the Authorities the immigration my own wife the random attack by strangers and kids ...its was just a nightmare.

Anyways enough of me and my problems my most thank you and applauds all go to my worker Jason because he worked with me really good mind changing therapy over the phone really who would ever thought, phone counselling works ....it did for me he was amazing with me.

Taught me a lot of techniques on dealing with my mental wellness my problems with sleep my high anxiety and depression moods, a lot has been so much better since getting telephone appointments with Jason I am thankful there are still people out there who do the job of caring for others for the love of it.

Really changing mindsets and saving many lives I'm in tears I'm glad the mental health team walsall was there to save this one silly stupid un deserving life of mine.....I will try my best to make it meaningful and colourful.

Hi Mariebabe

I am sorry to read about the experiences you had before speaking to Jason, and that it had made you feel so low.

I am glad that Jason has helped you look at things differently, changing your mindset and helped to reduce your anxiety and, that your mood has improved.

Thank you for your comments and I will let Jason know that you are grateful he has helped you.

Hi Mariebabe

Thank you for sharing something so personal with us. Its devastating to hear about such a terrible experience you have had and glad to hear that Jason has been able to support you with changing your mindset. Undoubtedly there will be others reading your story who may have previously experienced, or are currently going through a similar experience, and you sharing this will have a positive impact on them, knowing that they are not alone and there is hope and optimism for change.

Thanks for sharing on Care Opinion. It would be great to hear about your future experiences of services either with Jason or our other services.

Hoping your future is full of meaning and colour

Matt
