"Excellent care for my 88 year old mother"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My mother collapsed in the street in Wiveliscombe in early October and was treated by the ambulance men who she said were wonderful.

They took her to Musgrove A&E where she was treated very well by a number of staff, especially a nurse called Lucy who contacted me. After a while Mum was moved to Fielding Ward. They too looked after her excellently. Every aspect of her stay on the ward was great and we thank all staff for their wonderful care and kindness.

Mum was very impressed also with the food which I heard about on every visit. This weekend I'm trying to cook as good a vegetable lasagne as she had during her stay!

She was discharged after 5 days and we're so grateful that we have such an excellent hospital in Taunton. Thank you.

Dear Isabelle

Thank you for taking the time to share your families experience. It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide the best care to our patients.

We would like to pass your thanks onto the ambulance staff who attended to your Mother. In order to do this we will need a little more information from you. Could you please contact me on 01392 453831 at your convenience?

Many thanks again for supplying feedback.

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to write to give praise to all the staff who cared for your mother during her treatment at Musgrove Park this month. It is always a pleasure to receive commendations such as yours and I thank you for your kind comments which I will pass on to the staff involved with her care. I do hope that your mother is making a good recovery (good luck with the lasagne) and thank you again for your thoughtfulness in writing. Lucille Hoose. PALS Lead
