"lack of care"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

visited A & E and initial attention was fine but then transferred to next level which I think they call escalation ward. Two 'nurses' sitting behind desk, one pointed the porter in the direction of one of the many empty beds, only one other patient was visible.

It was 1 a.m. on a cold night. All the lights were on so it was difficult to rest. Windows were open and although sheets were on the beds there was no bed covering. I was seen by the doctor and discharged some hours later but there was never any communication from the 'nurses' apart from an orderly taking sats.
