I recently attended PRI A&E, arriving at approx. 8pm. After a very brief wait while the receptionist completed logging in another patient, I was quickly, efficiently and very politely booked in to await triage, the waiting area was clean and quiet and I waited approx 15 mins before being called. Triage was also very quickly and professionally done and I was told to await a doctor.
After an approx 15 minute wait, I was called through and attended to by a polite, efficient and professional team of nurses and a doctor. My wound was attended to, mediation given and detailed description of procedure I had to follow in the event that the wound condition deteriorated. This process, including consultation with more senior staff at Ninewells hospital took approx 40 minutes and I was discharged at 9:15pm.
The whole process was smooth and effectively handled by a team that were obviously happy in their work and professional in their approach. I wish that this could be recognised and the message passed on to the whole team in A&E. They have my thanks.
