I was hospitalised in October after a fall but until then i was working full time as a staff nurse. I planned to retired at end of December but became very poorly after the fall, many teams were involved while I was in hospital and all were very dedicated and caring but special mention about Dr. Papou, rheumatologist, who was a very caring and dedicated consultant.
Dr Papou really did all the necessary investigations and got to the diagnosis, which is not good news but his reassurance and caring nature made me so comfortable to go through everything. MDT was involved and then decided to referred me to Bristol rheumatology team for advice and support
It's been eight weeks now since treatment started and I am feeling a bit better, since Dr. Alex is locum consultant, and it's my kind request that we need a rheumatologist like Dr.Alex for YDH, cause I had been with rheumatologist since last five years and always my appointments were cancelled cause no consultant and I feel that if I was seen regularly things would have been different.
But my big thank you to Dr. Alex I feel he’s a Godsend angel to me and special mention about ICU matron and deputy matron and my colleagues who supported me so well during this difficult time, special mention ENT consultant and SALT team, i am so grateful to every one of them.
