About: Sidwell Street Clinic / Exeter Sexual Health

(as a service user),

I had an appointment to have my coil removed, the nurse put me at ease and it was very quick. Really happy with the service at the appointment.

I did have to phone up once to ask a question regarding going on the patch, and unfortunately I didn’t feel this was a good experience. The member of staff on the phone came across quite rude actually and instead of telling me the answer to my question just told me no, sounded like they didn’t want to help me.

I don’t live in Exeter and for my previous appointments I’ve had to take off work because I can’t get an appointment after 4pm, so I wanted to collect my contraception from somewhere closer to me, which apparently isn’t possible. There’s also no email to contact you on.

Overall happy with my face-to-face visits, but telephone service is poor.

Unfortunately, we are unable to send medication for collection to other locations, however, we are able to send medication by post, which might be an option for you in the future.
