"Wonderful care during an exceptionally busy period"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as a service user),

I was transferred from AAU to B31 earlier this week due to ongoing respiratory issues that have been difficult to resolved. All staff in the ward have been wonderful. This includes medics, nursing staff, domestics and housekeepers. Despite the ward being exceptionally busy, the staff have been responsive, kind and very professional. I have felt listened to and my treatment preferences taken on board. It has not been straightforward but the care cannot be faulted. Due to insomnia (not environment issue), I have listened to how busy staff have been overnight (and throughout the day) but continue to go about their business with a smile on their faces.

I have listened to the interactions between a few Staff Nurses and student nurses and it was incredibly assuring that time and patience was being taken to develop and enhance their skills.

Thank you all so much for the care and compassion.

Dear Saba23

Thank you so much for your kind comments regarding the care and treatment being delivered on ward B31. We strive to deliver a high standard of person centred care.

Staff continue to work extremely hard under very difficult circumstances.

I will share your lovely message with staff and I am sure it will lift their spirits.

I wish you well on your road to recovery.

kind regards

Julie Jack
