"A massive thank you"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was admitted to paediatric wards 1C then 1B in November 2023 with RSV positive bronchiolitis. This was an extremely unsettling time for us but I felt reassured by the nursing and medical staff looking after my son. They were empathetic, patient and always involved me in decisions surrounding the care provided. The 4 days we spent there were busy and must have been both mentally and physically demanding for the nurses, but nothing was a problem for them. A massive thank you to nurse Beth who looked after me as well as my son all 3 nights when I was there alone and exhausted. Cannot thank the team enough for their expertise and compassionate care.

Dear october1223

What a scary time for you and your son. I hope he has made a full recovery. I will be sure to pass on your lovely message to the team that cared for you. They will be delighted to hear that they contributed to making an anxious time calmer for you.

I wish you the best of health for 2024

Kind regards

Attica
