"Breast lump care"

About: Combe Coastal Practice North Devon District Hospital / Breast care and breast surgery North Devon District Hospital / Radiology (X-ray)

(as a service user),

I found a lump on the Tuesday before Christmas. I talked to my GP about it  and she made me an appointment first thing the next day. I was examined and indeed had a lump but she really put my mind at ease saying she didn’t believe it was a lump of concern, but would refer me anyway.

Despite there being three bank holidays, I have just been seen at North Devon hospital two weeks after my GP referred me. The treatment there was wonderful; slick and well communicated. The staff were friendly, cheerful and upbeat and really put me at ease. Thankfully it’s a happy ending to my story as my mammogram and ultrasound were all clear.
