"Virtual ward nurses"

About: Urgent Community Response / Virtual Ward Service

(as a service user),

I was rushed into hospital with a severe asthma attack. I have four dependant children and I was desperate to be home in time for Christmas. Hospital put the virtual ward nurses in place so I could have my wish.

Without these nurses I would still be in hospital. They’ve been absolute angels and the care given to me was phenomenal. They showed dedication to their jobs but most importantly they put my health and care needs first. They made my recovery the whole lot better. I couldn’t have done it without them. They are a credit to the NHS and I highly recommend them to anyone who’s in hospital but wanting to be treated at home.
