"My racing heartbeat"

About: Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

My heart rate was very high and wouldn’t go down.  Was admitted to a ward on A&E where Rory the Doctor and the Consultant worked very hard administering medicine and also talking me through procedures to reduce my heart rate.

I was reassured and very well looked after by the team in A&E who were extremely busy.  This department is a credit to the NHS.

I was then transferred to ward 21 Cardiology, where again the level of care was outstanding.  The nurses were amazing, so supportive and caring.  The Doctors and Consultant on this ward were great. They kept me informed what was happening to my heart rate and set about administering medicine to reduce it.

They managed to get my heart rate down and remain down. Thank you very much Ward 21, you were all brilliant  Excellent car,  thank you so much.
