"Excellent staff and care at PRI"

About: Acute Medical Unit / Ward 4 - Acute Medical Receiving NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Perth Royal Infirmary / Out of Hours Service

(as the patient),

I had a trip to the Out of Ours department at Perth Royal Infirmary in December, as advised by NHS 111...who were excellent also.

I was really impressed by ALL of the people who treated me there and interacted with me. Even the soup and chilli for dinner was good!

Roy the ANP in OOH has a great manner and approach.

I was handed into Ward 4. Again every member of staff were exemplary. Friendly, informative, relaxed and professional

Apologies for the names I missed and the names I got wrong! Stephanie the Staff Nurse and Gillian (Judith?) the ANP made me feel at ease and kept informed of what was going on.and why

The Consultant, Mark, also sets an example on how to deal with patients. Totally at ease having a chat with the patients.

Apologies to everyone else I didn't mention. EVERYONE was excellent including the porters and radiologist and the other roles which make it tick.

Another example of the NHS at its best.

I hope you are feeling much better following your recent hospital admission to PRI and are now recovering well at home.

As the SCN of the Tayside OOH nursing team, I was delighted to hear you found one of our ANP's (Roy) to be so approachable and had a great manner. It is important you are made to feel comfortable when accessing health care services as this helps to allay any fears and anxieties.
