"Nottinghamshire crisis team"

About: Adult Mental Health Crisis Services / Crisis Team Mid Notts & Bassetlaw Highbury Hospital Sherwood Oaks

(as a service user),

The crisis team in Nottingham has been awful! I have been calling since 6pm left too many voicemails to count, and said i am suicidal and in need of help right now, but no response, nothing. It’s currently early morning and im still waiting for a call back

They are terrible at responding and that’s really concerning considering they are working with very vulnerable patients, who are going yo be struggling when they ring in. It feels like they don’t care about the patients they are supposed to be supporting. Even a simple call to say -sorry I can’t talk right now, im with another patient, I’ll aim to call you back soon-would be better than being left feeling alone.

Staffing the crisis team to 1 or 2 at night is unfair and dangerous. They need to be able to help patients with time, and to not fob the patient off with a 5 min phone call. They need the time, which clearly they don’t currently have
