I was unable to have a face to face appointment with a doctor in Ledbury, instead getting a telephone consultation with Taurus. I had, and still have painfully disturbed sleep and shoulder pain. Over the phone I was asked to perform various movements of my arm which without a Zoom call I could not be sure I was carrying out correctly. The net result was that I was diagnosed with arthritis and despite very rarely taking pain killers in my life, I was prescribed 112 Codeine pills. Is this appropriate? or am I just being turned into an opiod addict. I am nearly 75, have only rarely troubled GP services with serious matters. How old do I have to be to get a face to face appointment with a GP. ?
