It was a saturday evening in May.
I arrived at A&E with a gash on my right ankle, a nurse instructed me that I should see a doctor. At the consultation stage there were lots of information given to me, I fully understood everthing, and was told I needed an operation.
I was given a tetanus jab, administered by a nurse. I was under constant observation by the nurses for 1 hr before my operation. I was also given the option of full anesthetic and staying overnight, or a local anesthetic and being able to go home, I choose to have the local.
The orthopaedic surgeon was talking to me throughout the operation, that took 2 to 3 hours altogether.
The aftercare was also great, the physiotherapist put a support in my shoe to take the pressure off the wound and I was also given crutches.
All in all I was very pleased with service, all excellent.
