"My sister's cancer treatment"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU) University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18) University Hospital Wishaw / Medical Oncology

(as a relative),

My sister was diagnosed out the blue with a gist tumour on the lining of her stomach. From the initial diagnosis until now, Mr Kasem has been nothing short of amazing. We all want to thank him very much for everything he has done for her and our family.

He operated quickly, checked in on her every day when she was recovering from surgery, ensured she had the right pain relief for long enough and an oxygen thing to prevent pneumonia.

We felt reassured he was doing the operation and that she was in the best hands. The whole ACCU team at wishaw were angels and we will be forever grateful for their help.

Dear Suzfeltlistenedto,

Thank you for sharing your sister's experience in University Hospital Wishaw on Care Opinion.

I am so pleased to hear that your sister received such excellent care from Mr Kasem and that she was quickly operated on following her diagnosis. It would have been such a worrying time and I am sure that his personal approach to care will have made such a difference in reassuring you all.

I will be sure to pass on your kind words and feedback to both Mr Kasem and the whole team who I am sure will be delighted to hear of the difference they made to you all during such a worrying time.

I hope your sister is doing well.

Kind Regards,

Jenni
