"Pains in my chest"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Cardiology Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

Pains in my chest, breathless, my wife phoned for ambulance, it was there within 10 minutes.

The paramedic Joe was checking my oxygen, heart rate in the ambulance and taking my personal details.

Arrived at Forth Valley Hospital, Gave me a GCA, checked my bloods and Oxygen.

Eventually ended up in Cardiology, completed various test trying to see what was causing the pain.

After the test on my heart and heart valves, there no more damage to my heart that they had discovered previously.

They said they would do a MRI scan during the scan they found my arteries were fine, but they noticed I had a hiatus hernia and it was that giving me all the pain.

The Cardiologist team were fantastic, providing feedback on my tests, the speed and urgency they did the tests.

All staff in the Cardiology ward were very focused on their job, helpful, and looked after me
