"Standard of care and kindness shown to the whole family"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Discharge lounge

(as a relative),

Mum was in A&E for several hours before it was agreed she could get home.

She was transferred to the departure lounge where we met Julie and Kirsten. They made sure that Mum was comfortable and well cared for, before turning their attention to Dad and I. They could see how tired we were and made us feel at home with chairs and reviving cups of tea with sandwiches.

They were so warm, friendly and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum is a former nurse and I know she would have been proud of the standard of care and kindness that they showed to the whole family. Thank you ladies - you make a real difference.

Dear travellerdx49

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Care Opinion.

I was pleased to hear the care and treatment your mum received from our staff was to a high standard and she felt well cared for. This must have been a massive relief to you and your dad.

I was also delighted to hear the staff took the time to make you and your dad feel at home with a steady supply of tea and sandwiches on hand.

I will be happy to pass on your thanks to the team who I'm sure will be touched to hear you all had such a positive experience while attending the department.

I hope your mum is feeling a lot better and recovering well back at home.

Kind regards

Kevin
