"Fantastic care"

About: Ilfracombe Tyrrell Hospital / Minor injury unit North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

I took my unwell daughter to Ilfracombe Tyrell hospital as I was very worried about her. She had been ill with flu symptoms, tiredness etc for 2 weeks and seemed to be getting worse.

Sam and his colleague couldn’t have been more caring, professional and diligent. They listened carefully and did a number of tests (including monitoring her resting heart rate which was very high) and then suggested we should go to Barnstaple A & E for further testing.

I am so glad we followed this advice as my daughter was diagnosed with pneumonia and given a course of antibiotics.

The service offered at Ilfracombe Tyrell is fantastic and so important to the community.

Dear kiloxr84,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Unfortunately I do not have direct contacts with the staff at Ilfracombe MIU, but I have passed your feedback over to the FirstCare Ambulance Service who will disseminate your feedback to the team who are working over at Ilfracombe.

I hope your daughter is recovering well and you have a lovely christmas and a happy new year!

Kind regards

Sophie Hutchings
