I am a new mum for the second time with two Under two and for the second time I am attending my local breastfeeding support group in Kilsyth run by Laura.
I went to group with the new baby and she knew right away something was up with me. I had mastitis. She helped me get an appointment and was seen at the GP by the end of the group.
This was just the latest occasion in which she has helped me out. She is observant, kind and offers lots of practical advice regarding feeding, and other topics like sleeping, regressions and most of all she is never judgmental toward anyone which I feel is quite an important element for all the mums who go to these groups.
The support that I have received from her with my wee ones has been great. And I'm sure all the other mums who have attended the group would agree with the same.
In addition, she will organise wee mini parties/events for the babies at Easter/ Halloween/Christmas etc which are always fun and entertaining.
She posts out info to us if she thinks it might help us out and is always on standby for a message/call if we need it too.
I feel these sorts of things/reviews likely get missed for a shout out because they are only on once a week for an hour or so. But that hour has gotten me through a hard going week to have that support network.
I am grateful for all the support I have received from Laura and others at the group so far. But she does a fantastic job running the group.
