Since my injury in July of 2021, I’ve really struggled during my various appointments due to various factors such as the amount of time and feeling as though I’m not taken seriously.
As soon as I was called by Dr Chesney, he immediantly put me at ease. I could tell he really empathised, and wanted to help me the best he could. He was incredibly empathetic and understanding of my emotions related to the injury and my ongoing struggle with it.
The nurse, Vicky, was also absolutely incredible. She even checked before I left that I was okay, due to being visibly emotional. I just felt very heard and taken care of, like someone had finally heard me and that I could finally have some resolve. I then had a nurse called Audrey take my bloods directly after, whom was also very kind, gentle and chatty.
Still upset to say I’m waiting for my results, however the three members of the NHS staff I mentioned today are just wonderful people, the type you would want to look after any loved one.
