"Emergency dental treatment"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) NHS Grampian / GDENS (Grampian Emergency Dental Service)

(as a service user),

I had bad toothache and my dental practice advised the tooth would need to come out but they said they couldn't do it that day and gave me an appointment for 14/12/23! Overnight the toothache became worse so I phone 111. Staff were courteous and professional and arranged an appointment with Argyll Dental Practice on Saturday morning. I was seen very quickly and the tooth was extracted. The staff were very caring and contentious throughout the procedure and sent me home with the necessary information and prescription.

Both 111 and GDENS were a credit to the NHS in Scotland!

Thank You

Dear Grags,

Thank you so much for taking the time to contact Care Opinion and for sharing your experience. I am sorry to learn that you experienced dental pain but glad to see that the tooth has now been removed. I hope your pain has now resolved and you are recovering well.

I am glad that our dental team at 111 was able to help with your referral. If you wish to share some more information with me, then I could identify the staff who managed your call and share your Care Opinion story with them. We always like to ensure that staff see positive feedback to reinforce for them how valued their care is when people call our services. Dear Grags

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent dental experience with both 111 and GDENS. I hope you are feeling much better now that your tooth has been removed and hopefully the pain has settled.

The Gdens clinic can be very busy at times and I am pleased that you were seen promptly and that our staff carried out your treatment caringly and you received the necessary information to help you recover.

I will share your feedback with the Team and thank you again for sharing your experience and crediting us so highly.

Best Wishes

Susan, Administration Manager, Unscheduled Dental Care
