"It seems to settle mum."

About: Locality Health and Care Services / Care at Home - South

(as a relative),

My mum suffers from depression & anxiety. She has carers to issue medicine twice a day.

One carer in particular can spot when she’s having a bad day & will spend 5 mins just having a blether with mum, not talking about how she’s feeling but I think it’s kind of a distraction for mum & she is always so appreciative of those wee blethers. It seems to settle mum.

Dear Funnygirl21

Thank you so much for the lovely comments about the service your mum receives. I'm glad to hear that your mum responds positively to the extra time spent with her. I am touched to note this make a small difference in your mum's day. There is nothing better than a wee blether to help us feel connected.

Kind Regards,

Marie Gavienas
