My mum is frail, she is in her 90s, and has dementia. She fell and landed heavily on her shoulder, which then became very painful for her to move.
We took her to ED at Wishaw. All the staff - from the reception, to triage, medical, radiology - were so kind and caring and took the time to speak with my mum.
My mum was seen virtually right away, x-rayed and fortunately did not have a fracture. All this was done within approx an hour which was just amazing.
I then received a follow-up call recently from a nurse to see how my mum was and how she was managing. Following this call, a physio then called me to give further support.
All I can say is well done NHS Lanarkshire, your staff are caring, kind and compassionate and the help we received was fantastic. I sincerely thank you.
