The last place that modality ran that I visited was awful, but it held nothing on this.
Firstly this is an ugly looking building, not relevant but as an architect I need to mention how ugly and weirdly laid out the building is.
They used a weird automated system to call out names, which would be fine if it wasn't so quiet. To make matters worse a battered and tinny radio was pointed at the lobby drowning out the announcement system. If I hadn't seen my name on the screen, I likely wouldn't have realised my name had been called.
The waiting room chairs weren't even full sized chairs, but instead cheap, pvc-cushioned stools without a full backing. A painful and irritating experience for certain, but it would have been manageable if we hadn't been stuck waiting so long.
I turned up with 5 minutes to spare before my scheduled appointment's time. It would be over an hour before the doctor would see me.
This has happened every time I've been to an appointment here, though never to this extent.
The worst part about this place though, is how impossible it is to even book an appointment. Despite having the infrastructure in place from the start of the pandemic, they have disabled all online or mobile methods of requesting/booking appointments. Instead entirely reliant on calling.
It took me 8 working days of trying to successfully make an appointment.
And to top it off the doctor I am met with basically shrugs off the medical issues I am having and says "if it persists for a week, make another appointment."
After I explained that it had already persisted for nearly two weeks the doctor simply shrugged and began fiddling with their computer.
