Had the 5th and hopefully last colonoscopy recently and as usual the staff are a credit to the medical service - chatty, friendly and informative from arrival to leaving. I was in and out in less than two hours.
My only gripe is the cost of the parking. After standing in the queue for 15+ minutes, 2 hours and 5 minutes cost £5.50. Talk about taking advantage of the unfortunate! But that’s the hospital trust I think that awards the licence to companies like this one. Not the hospital.
I received my 1st letter offering a routine colonoscopy 8 years ago and would normally have ignored it.
But I went and I was so glad I did as long story short I had 22 - yes, 22 - polyps removed on the second colonoscopy, some of which were cancerous and removed with no fuss or pain whatsoever. I am now clear and don’t have to go back for any more colonoscopies. Thanks to the staff and surgeons. It is not a pleasant procedure but if like me, it can save your life and lengthen it, it’s a no-brainer.
The hospital staff really are good at making you feel welcome, comfortable and informed about all that’s going on and are great for a chat too. From receptionist to surgeon and everyone in between. I thank them all for helping the quality of my life. They are Amazing!!!!!
