"All the staff were engaging and courteous"

About: Whiteabbey Hospital / Pre-Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

AAH. I felt finding the pre-op assessment suite quite difficult as there was only 1 sign which was very close to the suite and I had to ask directions twice to find it.

Once in the suite I was attended to very quickly and politely and in a professional manner. All the staff were engaging and courteous.

I had 3 individuals to see and was handed over by the previous without any problems.

My final assessment by nurse Louise was again very professional, friendly and informative.

In conclusion I had no negative experience and would like to personally thank all that interacted with me to make my visit non stressful and and a pleasant experience.

I am the Service Manager for pre assessment and I would like to thank you for bringing the difficulties with signage to our attention. We will link with estate services to get this addressed.

Thank you also for your kind comments around our service which we will share with the nursing teams who are always very grateful for patient feedback.

Kindest Regards

Pauline McGaw
