(as a service user),

Several years ago I was diagnosed as having severe arthritis in my hip, I also suffer from COPD.  Having been to 5 appointments (across 3 different Trusts) it was decided that because of my other health problems I would not be given a hip replacement.

My complaint is that the system knew my status & could have saved a lot of time & effort by telling me 5 years ago that I was not a candidate for hip replacement & put me on steroid injections instead of letting me suffer.

Hi Jonathan.

I have no issues to raise you or any other care trust. I was trying to show how much time and effort of all the people involved was wasted because of the fact I have COPD which meant that it was a non-starter. That said the system could have been giving me steroid injections and freed me from 5 years of pain and misery. Merry Christmas to all in the NHS.
