About: Antrim Area Hospital / Emergency Surgical Unit (EMSU)

(as a service user),

I was sent to EMSU after coming through Antrim ED. After this I only had the one point of contact which made a massive difference as it took a week to resolve my condition.

Ciara and her team were so friendly and welcoming and ensured my visits were well arranged, keeping me up to date with my progress at each stage. They went the extra mile ensuring I was comfortable, nothing was too much trouble.

EMSU is a fantastic initiative and I would thoroughly commend the high level of care continuously shown to every patient who visits the unit.

I am the general Manager of the Surgical Service.

Thank you for taking the time to share your Emsu experience.

I am pleased that despite feeling unwell, you were carefully brought through the emergency system and that your issues were dealt with in a way that didnt add to your concerns.

We are extremely proud of our Emsu service here at Northern Trust and the staff who run it are second to none.

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know that we did well. I will be sure to pass on your message.
