December 2012 - Heart attack, to Northern General, stent fitted. Back to Bessetlaw DGH.
In Nov 2014, double bypass and valve, Northern General. Thereafter yearly check by GP.
Dec 2022, yearly blood tests followed by (up to and including present time) numerous blood tests, scans, various visits to different dept mainly at Bassetlaw, for numerous different tests and examinations. Came under heart specialist care and subsequently heart specialist team.
All fantastic, but blighted some weeks ago by a locum doc misreading GP bisoprolol update and doubling to 10mg (2 a day) from 5mg, not realising from info that the GP had already doubled from 2.5 to 5mg. Furthermore the locum did not update info, so GP and staff unaware what had happened. Was taking 10mg for approx 5 weeks with rapidly depleting health issues. The mistake finally rectified when prescription requested - fortunately now health improving daily.
Maybe when locum docs are used, medication they prescribe could be double checked?
